Hi Jagwar

I have started to steal some Malagasy words to put them up on nl.wikt and yes if you like I'll add the odd Dutch translation. nl. does not have much of your(?) language yet.

Oh, is growling (grrrr.) a Malagasy greeting? ;-)

Hello, jcwf ; I really like your contributions to malagasy wiktionary :). Malagasy is my nationality and my mother tongue. If you have time to consecrate(?) to our modest wiktionary, we would fill the 1,000 words that every wiktionary should have together... In dutch/english for you, and malagasy/french for me. I have uploaded already some pages from big wiktionaries in wiktionary:tetikasa arivoteny ("thousand-words" project), and we just translate them. I do not like making empty promises Jagwar. I am sysop at nl. which started just as modestly and I would like to keep my mothertongue going, so the time I will dedicate^[1] to this one will be limited. But yes I will hop in on occasion. I know how lonely it can be to do this on your own: even the Dutch wikti was that way for a while. And if you need help from us I am sure there is a bunch of crazy people at nl.wikt ready to help. Oh: 1000 is a lot of work to do it right. The problem with doing it hastily is that you may deter other people from joining you: nobody joins to come and clean up other people's junk... If what is there looks good, chances are that they will stay.

What might be a good idea is to start with Swadesh lists: they are 207 of the most basic words in each language. See en:Appendix:Swadesh_lists_for_Austronesian_languages

Bonjour, et je vous remercie pour tout ce que vos contributions sur notre wiktionnaire. J'ai ajoutés les adjectifs numéraux ordinaux sur nl.wiktionary comme vous me l'avez demandé. Nous n'avons pas actuellement de mots propres pour désigner les chiffres de l'ordre de 10¹² ; par contre, pour 10⁹ on peut aussi dire faha-iraika miliara, mais je n'ai pas la place pour l'écrire...
