This template automatically generates pronunciation sections for Esperanto words.

It does not work for compound words where adjacent obstruent consonants differ in voicing and are subject to voicing assimilation.

Usage

For example, on page ĉevalido:

{{eo-pron|a=Eo-ĉevalido.ogg}}

gives:

• IPA^(key): /t͡ʃevaˈlido/
• Hyphenation: ĉe‧va‧li‧do
• Rima: -eo, -ido
• Audio:

  (file)

The template takes four optional parameters:

• i: IPA, defaults to function of page name
• h: Hyphenation, defaults to function of page name
• r: Rhyme, defaults to function of page name
• a: Audio file link, optional

In addition, syllable breaks can be induced by passing the term as positional parameters:

{{eo-pron|vesper|stelo}}

gives:

• IPA^(key): /vesperˈstelo/
• Hyphenation: ves‧per‧ste‧lo
• Rima: -eo, -elo
